A relational film, Solar Wheels, presents a science fiction narrative of wild horses in North America/Turtle Island and Xinjiang, China. The horses’ relationships with technologies, ecosystems, humans, and land reveal sustainable interrelationships between culture and ecology across geography.

The project is supported by the Jerome Foundation in Miní Sóta Makhóčhe, the land of the Dakhóta Oyáte, and Western Front, an artist-run centre for contemporary art and new music based in Vancouver on the lands of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Stó:lōand Səlílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh, and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm Nations.
