Yang Yang (b.1989, Dunhuang, Gansu province, China) lives and works in Beijing. He graduated in 2019 from the Performance Oil Painting Studio of the Capital Normal University with a master degree. Yang’s practice reflects on the technique, motif and representation of abstract expressionism based on a contemporary and panoramic perception. His paintings incorporates elements of ancient religious, expressionist and graffiti art, emphasizing painting’s proccesive nature, which leads to the unsubstitutability of time within. Natural landscapes, art history and personal experience delicately intertwine in the name of time, where the volume and depths of Yang’s work manifest.
