“Hereditary Territory” is a territory-building exhibition. In addition to the spatial scale control and location arrangement to present the “territory”, the display aspect of “Hereditary Territory” strives to reflect the “territorial struggle” that makes it different from other exhibitions in terms of gameplay. In contrast to the mainstream resource-predatory exhibitions on the market, “Hereditary Territory” can be classified as a land-grabbing strategy exhibition.
If the resource-predatory strategy exhibition emphasizes the unlimited improvement of personal artistic strength, “Hereditary Territory” highlights the artist’s strategic ability to maneuver among various states. For example, in “Heredity Territory,” artists need to think about connecting with surrounding territories and making rational use of the right time and place. This kind of gameplay prevents artists from simply thinking about their works. How to fill the 4×4 m space is also an important issue.
According to an initiator, “The exhibition should have a strategy and a philosophy of art, not a competition of art resources and armaments. Under this idea, we added free shuttle, natural terrain, and other gameplay designs that can truly experience the work to strengthen the strategic dimension further. The authenticity of art allows players to play various strategies and tactics, gallop freely in the exhibition. The wisdom of art warfare pays attention to the philosophy of “combination”. Compared to always desired conquest and aggression, this exhibition emphasizes end the fire with fire and conquer the world.
